That is so true, and so is the fact that you need to do whatever possible to look the best. Well, today I’m here to share with you some of my effortless overnight beauty secrets that you ought to know. Have a read and apply, I’m sure they will leave you stupefy. Let’s get started!
1. Cotton or Silk Pillow Sheets
The cotton pillow cases you have can actually adversely affect not only your skin, but also your hair. Researchers believe that the main causes of wrinkles, except age, are the cotton pillows. In case of hair, Silk pillows are a better option. They are soft and help reduce the amount of breakage. Cotton pillows, on the other hand, tend to cause more hair breakage. Select your sheets with precision.
2. Softer Feet
Pedicures are time consuming. You can easily soften up your feet at home over night. Before you get in bed, massage some Vaseline or some other petroleum gel onto your feet, and then put some socks on. The next morning you can take off your socks, and your soft feet will definitely thank you. The gel you applied gives moisture and nourishment to the feet. Your feet will be less dry, and those nasty cracks in your heels will start to heal.
3. Manicure Treatment
Due to the hectic schedule, you may not have time to go for manicure. Well, now you can easily treat yourself overnight by following these tips. If your nail beds are dry, apply a small amount of coconut oil to your cuticles before you hit the hay. Pivot on the amount of oil you put on, you can decide if you want to wear gloves or not. The following morning, when you wake up, your nail beds will be hydrated.
4. Use a Humidifier
My personal favorite especially in winters is the room humidifier. If you have dry skin, like me, try using a humidifier in your room while you sleep. The moisture in the room will be increased and help moisturize your skin. Just be certain to change the water out every day to avoid bacteria from growing inside the machine.
5. Nourish Your Hair
Before you head to bed, apply some leave in conditioner to your hair. Let the hair stay immersed in all night. It’s the perfect time for your hair to immerse in that extra moisture that it needs. Your hair will feel much healthier and hydrated when you wake up in the morning. If it looks a little oily, just wash it out when you take a showerhead.
6. Soften Your Lips
Coconut oil has multiple purposes. You can apply it on you nail beds to keep it hydrated, or you can spread a little on your lips before getting in bed. It will hydrate your lips overnight and make them feel smooth and nice in the morning. Happy lips!
7. Whiter Teeth
Smile is the best weapon for an individual, especially women, to put on. Whitening your teeth is the perfect thing to do while you’re sleeping. Sleeping time could be the best time to just let your teeth whiten. You usually have to leave some sort of whitening product on for couple of hours. So, it would be better to do this while sleeping than during the day. There are even some natural medications that you can use, like baking soda. Rub a little baking soda onto your teeth and leave it on for five minutes, then wash thoroughly before bed. If you do this you usually have to wait a while before you drink or eat anything, so, if it’s done before bed you won’t have to worry about being thirsty or hungry.
8. Lengthen Your Lashes
A lot of women wish that they had longer eye lashes. Applying castor oil on your lashes in a small amount is one of the ways to achieve long eyelashes. Make sure to use a clean eyelash dowel when doing this. Leave it overnight on your eyelashes and when you wake up in the morning wash it off with warm water before washing your face. This is not a magical process. So, you’ll have to wait for a couple of months to get the results.
