Are you thinking of removing unwanted hair from your body parts, but are unknown to the trustworthy techniques of removing them?  If you are, you have come to the right place my friend. Wherever it grows- legs, underarms, face or bikini – learn about the right hair removal technique. Managing hair growth has been a consistent battle for women.

Shaving can be considered as a short fix to a long term issue. It isconvenient but it results in faster hair growth and thicker hair volume.

There are numerous methods of hair removal available, differing in how fast your hair will eventually grow. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular hair removal techniques.

  1. Cold Waxing

Cold waxing is a very common and popular technique that can be used as an alternative to shaving which provides long lasting results and prevents the hair from growing back thicker. Cold wax strips and wax cream is a quick, easy and mess free method of hair removal. Moreover, if you are thinking to do by yourself, it can be painful particularly for sensitive skin.  Therefore, most of the people prefer to have their hair removed.

  1. Hot Waxing

Hot waxing is a technique preferred by beauty therapists which makes shorter and more stubborn hair easier to remove and provide an effective result. It is slightly expensive than cold wax but worth every penny if you get it done by professionals.  Hot wax is made up of antiseptic tea tee oil, and it is heated consistently. As it cools, it becomes firmer contracting around the hairstrands gripping them perfectly. The wax remains on the skin until it becomes soft and peel-able and is then pulled by fast movement.

  1. Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal technique that destroys the growth center of the hair or heat energy. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers. The duration of the treatment lasts between 15 minutes and one hour. This method is used to treat most areas of the body including eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs and legs. It is believed that this method doesn’t have any permanent side-effect but sometimes a temporary skin reddening of the skin may occur.

  1. IPL Hair Reduction

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) reduction is a technique used by cosmetic and medical practitioners to perform various skin treatments including hair removal. This technique works by emitting a wave length into the skin, in which targets a pigment in the hair. It quickly turns to heat which then kills the growing cells that make the hair. This technique is also believed as a reliable treatment procedure but if hair removal is needed on larger areas and darker skin then laser technique is recommended.

  1. Depilatory Creams

Depilatory creams are temporary hair removal creams which are available without prescription. There are lots of restrictions while applying this cream, e.g. it can be only applied to remove the hair of legs and hands. Also, if you leave it onto the skin for a long time it can burn your skin. If you have history of allergic skin, be careful while using it. You should follow the direction written in the paper properly before using it.
